We fell in love with The Warren as soon as we visited. Named for its unique layout over three floors, The Warren is a stunning modern townhouse tucked away in the heart of Kendal town centre.
The building has a natural slate roof covering, and as it is modern, it is very cosy with double-glazed bespoke timber-framed windows and external doors and high insulation levels. The Warren is carpeted and has recessed LED downlights throughout the spacious rooms, and tall ceilings give the space a lovely light and bright feel without losing any of its homeliness.
There is undercover parking for two cars in the garage with a car turntable to turn your car around. Please note the turntable can only be used with one car. The courtyard is relatively narrow, with no additional onsite parking, but there is a pay and display car park close by that is free between 6 pm - 8 am.
Downstairs is the first bedroom, which is very spacious with a Super--king Zip & Link bed, large mirrored wardrobes, and a chest of drawers. There is plenty of space to keep all of your layers for the weather of the Lake District! Next to the bedroom is a lovely study area, and from this room, there is access to the downstairs loo and basin.
Twelve carpeted stairs with a handrail lead you up to the first-floor landing. Here you will find the magnificent open-plan living area with wall-mounted smart TV, two large sofas, two very comfy armchairs, and two footstools to get those feet up after a long day out. Or simply because you're on holiday!
One of the walls in this great space is an entire wall-to-wall window, superb for watching the world go by, and it brings so much light to this already bright and spacious room. In the same space, the wooden dining table provides ample room for eight guests and follows the room around to the kitchen. You will find it has a superb contemporary style, complete with integrated Neff appliances, including hob, oven, extractor hood, fridge and freezer.
Other appliances include a dishwasher, slow cooker, microwave, kettle, 4-slice toaster, filter coffee machine, blender, and there is also a radio so you can keep up with the weather while you make breakfast.
There is also a lovely bee-themed twin room with two single beds, that can also be made up as a King-size Zip and Link bed, a wardrobe, drawers, and a mirror on this floor. The bunk bedroom has a double bed at the bottom and a single bed above it, with even more hanging space, drawers, and high ceilings to keep the room bright and airy.
The modern main bathroom is on this floor, with part tiled walls, a large bath with a shower head attached to the wall, a glass shower screen, and a toasty-warm ladder radiator. There is also a utility room on this floor with a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, board, and clothes airer.
Up and around another twelve carpeted steps to the second-floor landing, where you will find bedroom four, compromising of a Super-king Zip & Link bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, two skylight windows and a mirror. A large bright shower room with a standing shower cubicle, loo and basin.
There is also a day room on this floor with a day bed that we think would also provide a lovely quiet spot for a little one in a travel cot, as the room is right opposite the bedroom, A Cot and High Chair available on request - Please note bedding is not provided for the cot.
You will not be short on space when you stay at The Warren, that's for sure!

Things to Note
Although there is no outside space at The Warren, there is a park, and walks by the river are only 5 minutes away.
There are safety lights throughout the property, one in the hallway, another on the first floor landing
Fire extinguishers are located on the first floor landing, and in the kitchen with a fire blanket
There is a pay and display car park close by that is free between the hours of 6pm - 8am
