Newstead Abbey and Sherwood Forest are also close by.
Explore the nearby Peak District, spend a day at Chatsworth House, follow the Five Pits Trail or simply enjoy the stunning views either from inside the property, or outside on the decking.

We had a lovely 4 nights in bungalow. Spacious & clean, kids loved the games room.
Pam & Don were lovely and very welcoming, beautiful homemade cake & jam on arrival.
Right next to kennels, meaning we could get our dog looked after when we had a day out to Gullivers Kingdom.
Would highly recommend.

Friendly owners and lovely size property for a mixed family group. We all enjoyed the games room and the decking was lovely to eat outside every day. The only minor drawback was the noise from the kennels almost below the bungalow but this was only at feeding times and most of the day was peaceful. Homemade cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Thank you for having us.

The bungalow was heated by oil and you could smell it in the kitchen and one bedroom. There was a kennel nearby and the dogs were barking all Sunday and at other times. The plumbing was not good and kept us awake.
