Information about the host Umgebinde 1657 is a charming Umgebinde house on a sunny hillside in the spa town of Bad Schandau – just a few meters from the Elbe River with a breathtaking view of the surrounding forests and cliffs.
A magical place in Saxon Switzerland for unforgettable moments with friends and family: hiking, discovering, cooking, reading, spending time together.
Our sustainably renovated cultural monument offers more than 220 sqm of space, peace, and coziness for up to 12 people.
Chop in the large kitchen, sweat in the sauna in the brick stable, lounge on the oven bench and watch the fire, observe the deer from the windowsill, sleep in our super cozy beds and dream of the next hiking tour.
Ecologically and sustainably reconstructed, free of pollutants, and with minimal plastic use – we aim to leave this beautiful spot better than we found it.
We use geothermal heating and offer our guests products from regional sources.
You can arrive by paddle steamer, bicycle, train, car, bus, or even leisurely on foot with a backpack.
Getting to Krippen is easy, but leaving this small paradise on the Elbe will be difficult for you.
We are centrally located, easily reachable without a car, yet away from the tourist streams.
Just a stone's throw from the National Park train station, the Elbe and Painter's paths, the spa, and the local shops, and an ideal starting point to explore the over 1,200 km of hiking trails and countless activity offers in the area.

Tourist tax information The state-recognized spa and resort town of Bad Schandau charges a city tax, which is payable on site.
In return, you receive a guest card that allows you to explore the area by bus and ferry free of charge and offers many discounts with partners.
The spa tax is EUR3.00 per person per night, with a discount for children.
With the Guest Card Mobil, you can use public transport in the tariff zones of the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO) Pirna (70), Bad Gottleuba (71), Bad Schandau (72), and Neustadt (73) (all tariff zones in Saxon Switzerland) as well as the Kirnitzschtalbahn during your vacation without an additional ticket.
Excluded are special transport services such as the hiking ship and transport services from other companies such as passenger shipping on the Elbe, the ferry in the spa town of Rathen, and private bus services.
Separate tickets are required for transporting dogs, bicycles, and travel beyond the region's tariff zones.
Important payment information and other conditions A deposit of up to 25% of the travel price is due upon booking.
The remaining amount is due 7 days before arrival.

Es war einfach super, tolle gemütliche Wohnung , es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und die Verkehrsanbindung (vor allem mit dem Zug) ist sehr gut.
