Information about the host The Rathauskeller - The Melker Gasthof, also known as Die Residenz, combines traditional Austrian gastronomy with stylish accommodation in the historic heart of the old town of Melk.
Historic ambience & location Within the walls of the historic town hall cellar, where an inn has been in operation since 1669, a small, fine place to stay was created in 2019 under the name Residenz in one of the oldest buildings in the town.
Located directly in the pedestrian zone, guests can enjoy an impressive view of Melk Abbey, which is just a few minutes' walk away.
Rooms & comfort The hotel offers a total of 15 rooms (mainly double rooms and family rooms) and 2 apartments in the historic outbuilding with amenities such as shower/WC, TV, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi in the guest area, as well as towels, desk, fan and some with garden view or view of the courtyard.
Comfortably furnished apartments offer space for up to 6 people and create a feeling of space and independence.
Guests benefit from a bicycle cellar, free parking behind the inn and a garden or guest garden.
The in-house restaurant offers traditional Austrian cuisine - freshly prepared and regionally influenced.
