The Cotton Rooms is a superbly renovated and furnished apartment right in the heart of the popular Peak District town of Matlock, sleeping up to three people in two bedrooms.
It provides perfect accommodation for couples, young families or single travellers wanting to stay in style and enjoy all that the Peak District has to offer. The luxurious apartment tastefully mixes the characterful features of the old building with new and modern interior styling.

In the living room, the huge windows with wooden blinds allow light to stream in to the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas.
While Matlock offers many fantastic restaurants, The Cotton Rooms' kitchen is fully equipped to cook up a feast should guests prefer a night in. The Cotton Rooms is right in the heart of the popular village of Matlock - there are numerous pubs, cafes and independently run shops in easy walking distance from the front door.
Once famed for its hydro and spa treatments, Matlock's central location, scenic surroundings and public transport links make it a popular base for exploring the best of the Peak District and Derbyshire.
The Cotton Rooms is therefore the perfect base for walkers with many circular walks starting and ending in the town. Crown Square and the river Derwent lie at the heart of Matlock, and the gateway to award-winning Hall Leys Park with its boating lake, riverside walks, tennis courts and skateboard park.
For a trip back in time, hop on a steam or diesel train operated by Peak Rail from Matlock to Rowsley, or head for nearby Crich Tramway Village and pay an old penny to ride on a vintage tram.
Guests can alternatively head for the Heights of Abraham and take a cable car ride between spectacular limestone cliffs and wooded slopes for panoramic views of the Derwent Valley. Central location, very good accommodation. I would definitely stay again. I would have no hesitation recommending it to friends.

The only fault I found was beyond your control. A fight started in the pub across the road and spilled out into the road.I appreciate you have no control over this, everything else was brilliant,

I was already familiar with the area but lots of new restaurants since my last visit. Excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Bus stop right outside the apartment. Some noise from the bar on Saturday but not unbearable. Lovely apartment, cosy, everything you need is at hand. Very clean. Would stay here again :)

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s ideally located for walking to the nearby restaurants, shops and park. Parking is right behind the building - we bought a week pass so we could come and go every day. The place itself is clean and tidy, with everything you need for a short stay.
